Darkglass Electronics is the Finnish company that makes the Anagram. Doug Castro founded it in Helsinki to build bass drive pedals, and the Microtubes circuits became the sound of modern, aggressive bass. The pedals split the signal so the clean low end stays put while a separate band distorts.
Because Darkglass wrote the firmware, its own models on the Anagram are confirmed. Microtubes B3K, Vintage Microtubes and Microtubes X cover the drive pedals. Alpha Omicron brings the Alpha·Omega engine, Duality Fuzz the two-path fuzz, and Harmonic Booster the clean boost and EQ. The cabs Darkglass Neo 2x12 and Darkglass Neo 4x10 match the DG212N and DG410N.
Two more are likely rather than confirmed. FET Compressor looks like the FET mode of the Hyper Luminal, a design that itself nods to 1176-style compression. Darkglass 6-Band EQ likely borrows the graphic EQ from pedals such as the Microtubes X Ultra.
One Marketplace block draws on Darkglass too. Atlantida Audio says D-Wool models both factory preamps found in Dingwall basses, one of which is the Darkglass Tone Capsule. That is confirmed by the developer.
The Microtubes voice is gritty in the upper mids with a solid, uncoloured low end. B3K is the simpler, rawer one, Vintage is warmer and more amp-like, and X is tighter and more modern. Alpha Omicron adds the growl and mid control that metal bassists use.
Start with Microtubes B3K, set the Blend around halfway, and add the 6-Band EQ after it if you need more mid push.
